In Person: $25 at Mel Korum Family YMCA, until closing on July 1st.
Online: $25 until 11:59 pm July 1st.
Day of Race: $35 cash, check, or credit card. Day of race registration closes at 6:30 am. Please allow ample time to park and walk to the Gold Gate.
The Course
The USATF certified 5k/10k Course begins and ends at the Gold Gate of the Puyallup Fair Grounds, located at the intersection of Meridian and 9th Ave. The course is a pleasant run along quiet streets through residential areas followed by a refreshing stretch along pastures and a canal. The course will then take you past the fish hatchery and up a challenging hill on 15th St. There the course begins its desent along Fairview Ave., then back to 9th St, finishing just inside the Gold Gate. At the finish line each runner will be greeted by friends and family to celebrate their accomplishment. The race will be chip timed, all chips must be returned after the race or you will be charged a $25 replacement fee.
South Hill Veterinary Dog Race
Do you love to run? Does your dog? This year in addition to adding a 10k to our annual CityBlast fun run, we are incorporating a dog run! Here's how it works, if you think you and Fido can beat the other pooches in town at a 5k register Fido. If you think you and Fido will place, register both.
Results
Unofficial results will be posted near the finish line as soon as they are available. A complete listing of official results will be posted at www.Cityblast2011.com the following week.
Awards
Awards will be presented to the following:
First three male and the first three female finishers overall. Top three 5k/10k finishers for men and women in the following age groups: 12 and under, 13-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75 and over. Top finisher 5k/10k for each military branch, as well as top overall(5k only) Wheelchair - Stroller and doggie division.
Technical Shirts
Entry fee includes technical running shirt. Additional shirts can be purchased for $25 on race day.
Advance Technical Shirt and Packet Pick Up
Registrants can pick up their shirt and packet on Saturday, July 3rd from 4:00-7:00pm at the Mel Korum Family YMCA at 302 43rd Ave SE, Puyallup, WA 98374 or on race day.
